Maine Antique Tractor Club Northern Branch Welcome to the website of the Maine Antique Tractor Club. We are a family oriented, non profit organization, which focuses on the preservation of information, documents, and artifacts relating to the invention, development, and use of farm tractors and related implements and equipment. We shall also endeavor to teach present and future generations about the uses of these antique tractors, implements and equipment and to show them at work.
Membership Originally founded in 1994 by a handful of tractor lovers, the club has grown to over 500 members and sponsors. Membership is not limited to those who own restored tractors. Unrestored tractors, straight off the farm are popular too. In fact it is not necessary to own a tractor at all to participate in club activities. Membership gives the family something to enjoy together and because children are always welcome at all club functions and meetings, they learn to appreciate their agricultural heritage along with their parents. The Maine Antique Tractor Club does not want the cost of membership to prevent families from joining, and strives to keep membership dues affordable for everyone ($15.00 per year per family, $30.00 per year per sponsor).
Goals In addition to our stated purpose of preserving our rural heritage, the club has ongoing long term goals, some of which have been achieved and some of which we are still working on. We have established an annual scholarship fund and have started a library of reference books. Our calendar is kept full responding to numerous requests from all over the state for our participation in events such as parades and fairs. One of our major long term goals is to establish a permanent home for the club where we can have educational displays and demonstrations of tractors and equipment.
We hope you will enjoy this website and use it to stay current on what is happening at the Maine Antique Tractor Club.
